READING WITH KEV
Reading With Kev, our weekly virtual children's literacy initiative, was launched following the halting of in-person learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Improving the literacy rates of youth across the globe is a cause that is simply far too important to cease entirely as we navigate this unprecedented time in history.
STUDENT/TEACHER SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
As we navigate the COVID-19 global pandemic, the need for resources to assist our teachers and students during virtual learning is at an all-time high. Lack of access to a quality education and to the resources that are needed to support and sustain that quality such as, access to Wi-Fi and computers, is still an issue in communities across the world. The Thomas Foundation is committed to working with community partners to ensure that every student has a fair and equal opportunity to thrive in their academic pursuits.
ADOPT-A-CLASSROOM
Teachers often have to come out of their own pockets to purchase supplies and other resources to enhance their students' learning experience. Through this initiative, we enter partnerships with selected educators which span an academic year. During this partnership, we offer our time and other support and resources to aid the teacher and students in their quest to excel academically.
